Our Cottage Names - Morvoren Cottage

Morvoren means Mermaid in Cornish. We all love mermaids, (and mermen of course, no sexism here) and we wanted to include this as one of our cottage names as we felt it reflects our love of the sea and the beautiful north Cornish coast.
Our Cottage Names - Dozmary Cottage

Dozmary Pool, said to be bottomless, is steeped in legend. Here at Coombe Farm we are suckers for a bit of historic old folklore, so here are a few of our favourites.
Our Cottage Names - Siblyback Cottage

Siblyback is a lovely large lake on nearby Bodmin Moor, great for watersports and all sort of recreation. We just like the sound of the word, Siblyback, it’s runs off the tongue nicely!
Our Cottage Names - Godrevy Barn

We love the Cornish coast, the wide sandy beaches, the literary connections, and Cornwall’s nautical activities, which is why we chose it for our big barn..stay safe in the water everyone.
Our Cottages Names – The Competition

We ran a competition leaving us totally spoilt for choice, with loads of brilliant suggestions. Should it be Cornish Saints, cheeses, du Maurier characters, breeds of pig, types of piskey? (more widely know as pixies of course).
